Avoiding Wedding Stress

Today we thought of talking about a topic that causes dread in the corridors of weddings; stress.

To be honest with you, we experienced minimal stress during the time of our wedding preparations. Amongst other things we sought to deal with tricky issues early and we also avoided fussing a lot over certain issues which we knew we could not control. The best approach for us was to keep a positive attitude that all things were possible. This helped us and strengthened us daily.

So to you too we suggest that you take it easy and go with the flow. If things go the other way contrary to what had been planned remain focused and in control. Avoid doing all things by yourselves as this is extremely demanding. Try by all means to get help from other trustworthy people who can stand with you through thick and thin. Never accommodate pointing fingers as blaming one another removes your focus from things that matter and further causes problems and diversions.

The two of you must be weary of little misunderstandings that have potential to cause tension and trouble. This leads us to a very important point: communication. Nothing beats communication. Try by all means to communicate fully between the yourselves and amongst all the team members involved in the planning process. Roles and responsibilities must be clearly spelt out to help clarify issues and avoid unnecessary stresses.

Try and also do something that relaxes you like sport or any other activity that you can really enjoy. This helps to relax your mind and gets you back energized once again.

Just because there is a general belief that weddings causes stress does not mean that you have to be stressed also especially if you take heed of the issues discussed on this blog and of cause those that you know of but that we haven’t yet touched on.

This brings us to the end of today’s chat…

To your Special Day!
