A Bit on the Life After Part 1
Hi there, how is it going today?
We figured that we have been talking a lot about the wedding planning which is the actual event and which is the core-business of this blog but we thought it would also be a good idea to give you a bit on the life after which is equally important, if not more important.
Yes there is the wedding to plan but don’t forget to also plan for the life after you have been pronounced husband and wife. The thing is, it’s important to realize that hanging around with your fiancĂ© and living with them are two very, totally different things. You have to understand that you are both coming from different backgrounds and you were also both raised up differently though there might be some similarities. So anyway, at the end of the day it’s about your mind and the attitude you have and we are sure that you have already caught the drift that a right attitude and a right mind set are key.
We are not trying to scare you or anything; we are just trying to help! Something that helped us and still does is not to have HIGH expectations for your spouse as we all know that when these are not met it causes chaos, confusion and heartache just to mention but a few things. Do not try to be controlling and force your spouse to be the person that YOU want them to be and not WHO THEY WERE CREATED TO BE. We are sure you know this already but we will say it again just in case you didn’t; the reason you are together is to bring out the best in each other, to MAGNIFY your spouses strengths and help them overcome their weaknesses and not vice versa. The bottom line is that too high expectations can not be met just because non and absolutely non of us is perfect. Wouldn’t it be nice looking back 5-10 years from were you started and see how far you have traveled?
If you ever feel a bit mad with your spouse just once in a while think of the good things that your spouse has done for you, the sacrifices that they have made, the reason why you love them and just who they are. Sooner than you know it, you would have forgotten why you were mad in the first place.
Well this was just a teaser; look out for part II, III, and IV well and V.
Have a great weekend…
To Your Special Day!
