Some Dos & DONTs as you get the plans underway

Hey how is it hoped you had a good weekend. We did and just was up and about most of the time…

OK, so today we just would like to talk face to face with the bride…we were just thinking of some “common” “mistakes” that people make as they plan for that special day. Common is in quotes because it might not be common to everybody and mistakes is also in quotes because these things are done in “innocence”. For instance, DON’T , we repeat DON’T put on too much make-up also with contrasting colors to your complexion as this will totally, completely mess-up your real image of which this will only click when you take a look at your wedding photos or video weeks, months or even years [ for that matter] after. You really don’t want to look like a clown, need we remind you that you will be having these photos or video FOR LIFE to remind you of this.

It’s obvious you want to look stunning, drop-dead gorgeous, that’s why innocence is in quotes, but PLEASE don’t overdo the make-up. We DO suggest that you however go for a test run of the make-up you will be having on that day before the wedding and discuss with your beautician then what you prefer and what’s looking good on you and iron out the issues rather than trying to do that on the actual day, this saves on time and you will know for sure that you will be looking tight, lovely!

Another thing, DON’T do something which suites the next person or in fact a whole group of people. You know we have heard a lot of people complain about this here in Zimbabwe, where our extended families just cant help but poke their noses into the planning, though they kind of mean well, only that we won’t exactly be at par with them, yah?! We know exactly the feeling! So the wedding then seems to seize to yours but theirs! We are not saying don’t take advice, NEVER, but if you are not going with their flow, don’t force yourself to otherwise you will be miserable on your special day and maybe for rest of your life when you begin to think of ‘oh if only I had done this etc’, how sad.

For instance, you could be forced to choose a wedding gown which even your grand mother would not wear because the style has become outdated! If you go for it, we are sure you would be so miserable and even embarrassed to walk down the isle wearing something that looks like it’s from the 60s when we are in the 21st Century!

So DO stand for what you believe will make you happy and try to do it without stepping on too many people’s toes “as we know we cannot please everybody”

That wraps it up for today; we will catch-up with you again Tuesday?

To Your Special day!
