Décor
The truth of the matter, is that décor is broad because that’s what gives the face of a wedding.
Depending on your pocket, avoid going for something that seeks to impress people based on what you have seen before somewhere but that is at the same time bleeding you to death in terms of your finances. We suggest you do something that goes with your character. If you are out going, for example, then a deeper color would go well.
What we are saying is that décor and your character must go hand in hand because that’s what makes your wedding unique from the next person because we are all unique and different people. At the end of the day, the wedding is yours, we mean you guys the two of you, so going all out to impress people will certainly end in you failing to impress all of them cause we all have different tastes and style.
We also suggest that look around for the person/consultant who is going to do your décor well in advance so that you get a chance to look around for a few others and their catalog before finally deciding to settle on the one whom you think will best be able to bring out what you want.We think its also a good idea to give your wedding a theme. For instance, you can go for the African theme which means that your bridal team will go for an African attire and your cake could be little African huts and your décor could also have an African touch.
You could even go an extra step to provide a variety of African dishes to go along with your theme. The range is really wide and the choice really yours. Just think of what theme you would want your wedding to have and go for it!Don’t forget the obvious such as flowers, balloons and ribbons. On balloons we suggest you keep them moderate. Too many balloons may not look nice you don’t want your wedding to end up looking like a ten year old birthday party. It’s also important how they are set up and tired. You will need to thrush this out with your décor person before it’s too late.
If you want to go for the kylite or party banners its really up to you but just consult your décor person to find out if there is anything that can be added to this to add a little flavor to your décor.
We hope to sit down this weekended and draw-up a list of our prefered service providers... we hope to post it here soon.
