Your Wedding Website

Hello hoped you had a great weekend... my husband (as I told you who is a technology savvy) insisted that we snick this topic in. I totally agree with him because I realize just how much technology has made it possible for us to do what we couldn’t previously do in our wedding preps. Think about this blog!

See we were just thinking that with so many Zimbabweans in the diaspora amongst them our dear friends and relatives how do we keep everyone in the loop as we are working hard to prepare for our wedding. A good idea, that we didn’t implement on our wedding but that we wish we should have and that we are now suggesting to you is to have your own dedicated wedding website. How is that?

Listen, you can call it anything you want for instance jamesandjoanna.com On such a website you can have a discussion forum allowing interactive participation of all your friends and relatives in the Diaspora or even locally but in other cities. On the website as well, as others have done it, you can allow your visitors to vote for your honeymoon destination from a choice decided by you. You can also add photos before and after your wedding so that they all can see how it was. Some even allow donations in cash or kind through their website from relatives and friends.

Wedding websites can also tell a story about what you two plan to do in the future together. What goes in there is really up to you and can be changed anytime, that’s the beauty of information technology. A website can also act as a “memory box” of some sought for you and your family. Picture this, twenty years from your wedding day you might want to revisit the site together with your family and share the memories. Remember there are free services like these all over the internet. You don't have to necessarily spend a dimme on it unless if you want something really out of this world, which is of course allowed. Also most importantly is that you don't have to understand all those website designing jargon etc... Check out a few sites to such free services that we looked up for you;

1) www.ewedding.com - your own free wedding website could be up and running in 3 easy steps.
2) www.wedpagedesigns.com - this one gives you a free trial with an option of paying US$2 per month.
3) www.google.com - for more we suggest that you go to google and google "free wedding websites" and see what you can get!

So that is all for today... think about this great idea. If you go for it, please let us know so we can direct our hundreds of visitors to have a look at your great wedding website.

To Your Special Day
